Big Sandy Sidenotch - #4-2

Size: 2 9/16" L x 1 3/8" W.

Provenance: Found in Delaware County, Ohio. X: Dean Driscoll.

Condition: Excellent. Classic Ohio style Big Sandy. Nice mineral deposits, heavily ground base, fine pressure flaking. Glossy Delaware chert.

Price: $100

Hardin - #4-3

Size: 3 1/8" long x 1 1/4" wide.

Provenance: Found in Dubois County, Indiana. Purchased at a Huntingburg estate sale of C. Parr.

Condition: Super. I know it's white, but I think it is Hornstone that patinated out white. You can see little areas of grey trying to poke through the white patina. In my mind, this is a "knobbed" Hardin, and rarer type. Should be obvious it is old from pics. Yes, this would be a killer piece.

Price: $SOLD> THANK YOU>

Large Dovetail - #4-4

Size: 3 7/16" L x 1 5/16" W.

Provenance: Coschocton County, Ohio. Converse Sale 9/17/2016

Condition: Super. Thinner than most Heavy Duty's on the base, but it still works into a very nice medial ridge moving towards the tip. Fine Archaic work, some huge minerals.

Price: $SOLD> THANK YOU>

Heavy Duty - #4-6

Size: 3 1/4" long x 1 1/4" wide.

Provenance: Found in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. Converse Sale 9/17/2016.

Condition: Excellent. Great swirled Coshocton flint. Well made with a few minor dings. One of my favorite types. These guys represent some of the Earliest Archaic work in the Midwest.

Price: $SOLD> THANK YOU>

Hornstone Dovetail - #4-7

Size: 4 1/16" L x 1 5/16" W.

Provenance: Detailed provenance information shared with buyer. Inquire for details.

Condition: Super. Some flints just feel better than others. I term it ergonomic, but it is more than that. This piece has that intangible quality. It also has a great half bullseye, superior form and size. Highly recommended piece.

Price: $SOLD> THANK YOU>

Dickson -#4-8

Size: 3" L x 1 5/16" W

Provenance: Listed as Southern Illinois. Purchased from Tom Davis in 2015.

Condition: Super. Could this material be a patinated Hornstone / Cobden? I'm not sure, but I am sure it is heavily patinated. Base is burinated straight across. I don't think this is a break. As you can see, a great color pattern.

Price: $SOLD> THANK YOU>

Dovetail - #4-9

Size: 3 5/16" L x 2 1/16" W.

Provenance: Found in Perry County, Indiana. X: Sidney Bellville collection.

Condition: Super. Almost a dovetail variant, but I am confident in typology. Great, high grade Indiana Horstone full of stripes. Very wide for it's length. A very nice flint piece.

Price: $SOLD> THANK YOU>

Cobbs Knife - #4-10

Size: 4 1/2" L x 1 7/8" W.

Price: $450

Dovetail - #4-11

Size: 4 1/2" L x 1 1/4" W.

Provenance: Howard County, Missouri.

Condition: Small amount of restoration shown in pictures. As stated below, I would remove the restore. It is so small, and this is such a beautiful point. Color for days. I guess this is a wacky Burlington, but could be way off. Great size.

Price: $SOLD> THANK YOU>

Note the extremely small areas of restoration on the tips of the ears and base. I highly recommend removing this.

Sonora Lance - #4-12

Size: 3 7/16" L x 1 3/8" W

Provenance: Barren County, Kentucky.

Condition: Perfect. No flaws. High grade translucent with subtle purple and green tones. Base and sides only lightly ground which makes me wonder if it is isn't a later type. I know this, it would still kill and butcher today. Collector's favorite material.

Price: $SOLD> THANK YOU>

Group of Glover's Cave Artifacts - #4-13

Size: Center bone piece is 3 7/16" L.
